Joel Rosovsky headed the Jewish community when Nesvizh was under Polish control (1921 – 1939).

 Building a Jewish school in 1927.  Nesvizh was known for its Talmudic scholars and also had its share of authors.  The community had a Talmudical academy, Hebrew school and kindergarten, Yiddish school and Zionist youth movements that set their sights on establishing a national Jewish homeland.
