If you stuck a thumbtack for every ghetto and concentration camp, you would cover the entire map of Europe.  All the death camps were situated in Poland.  They were built near Jewish populations in semi-rural areas alongside railroad tracks. The notorious six were: Auschwitz, Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec, Majdanek and Chelmno.
